The stories behind the numbers

We live in a world of numbers. Even though we didn’t enjoy the math class, we have to admit that there is a number behind everything we do. From our birth certificate to our bank accounts, numbers are telling the stories of our lives.

As I’ve been mentioned in the past as well, I work as a Workforce Management Planner. And I deal with numbers each day. Each number is having its own story. Either it’s the number of calls, the duration of it, even the numbers of agents that got ill can tell a story.

How can we create or read a story only from some numbers? Let’s take an example, an workforce one. (more…)

Life is full of opportunities

I’ve read somewhere that opportunities arrives for those that are prepared for them.

And I believe that is true. You can’t take advantage of an opportunity if you are not ready to for it, either with the skills that you have or either with your mindset. And if you are not prepared to take it, can we really call it an opportunity? Because an opportunity is “a time or set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something“(Oxford Dictionary). In my 3 part series about WFM, I was writing about how you could improve your life using some simple WFM principles and practices.

In this post I want to talk a little bit about on how WFM can affect your daily life, without you even knowing.

Let’s break down first what WFM is. WFM is the process through which we ensure that we have the right agents at the right time, and equally important at the right cost. But the cost of the agents doesn’t affect your daily life, unless you are their manager, so I won’t talk about this. (more…)

We live in a very unstable world. And talks about a World War 3 appear more and more. But this post isn’t about politics, it’s about a decision. If a war would break out, would you go to war? What is love?

…. baby don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me, no more.

I don’t think I believe in love anymore. It’s a word used so much these days that it’s become a cliche. What is love? How do we, can we say that we love something when we use it like breathing over every little thing.

I can’t say don’t believe in love, rather I could say I don’t believe in the way love is presented and perceive today. (more…)
