Cold shower therapy

I turn the faucet on. The water starts to pour down on floor. The coldness of the water makes the air turn cold as well. Some of the voices in my heads start to mumble You will regret this! Don’t do it, Stefan! Don’t do it!

But I did it anyway. The first to make contact were the feet. The coldness of the water makes my mind refreshed. I make a little courage and let the hands to join the party. First the right, then the left. I splash myself, like I child in a hot spring day, to let the body get used with the cold water.  (more…)

Am I a perfectionist?

A while back I was reading an article about perfectionism and how it affects our daily life.

The article referred to how searching for the perfect environment, the perfect project, the perfect life, in the end, it drives you crazy. Because in your mind you will search for that perfect feeling every time you want to do something, and you won’t find it because, let’s be honest, nothing is perfect. (more…)

How to make 2016 an awesome year

Truth be told I’m not sure if 2016 will be an awesome year. Looking back at the last 25 years of my life every year was awesome in his own way, and every year was awful in his own way. I don’t know if 2016 will be a good year, but be sure that I will try to make it so.

I spent the last few days thinking what I accomplished in 2015 and what I want to do in 2016. I realised that I have a lot of work ahead of me if I want to accomplish everything I want to do. (more…)

I’m doing great

I'm doing great“How are you doing?”

“I’m fine”

Most of the time this how a conversation starts. To the question “How are you” or “How are you doing” the response is usually automatic “I’m fine” or “I’m ok” or just “Ok”. And the tone we say fine and OK, most of the time it’s sad and without life. We almost never realise this automatism we made.

 We answer in a way that even we aren’t convinced that we are fine. We just don’t want to bother the other person with our problems. The thing is the other person doesn’t want to hear your problems and he expects that you will answer “I’m ok” and move on. (more…)
